Anyone like olives?

I Love them best little things ever. Everyone else but my parents seem to hate them. Especially other Aspies. A lot of aspies like rather plain food but it's not true for me. I love plain food too but some savory things are just wounderfull. I'm munching on olives right now if only i had some fancy cheese to go with them.

I like green ones but hate black ones.  My daughter also aspie likes the black ones and will eat n entire jar of them if you let her as I will with green ones

i'm with your daughter, parts - i much prefer black olives.  but i love olives of any description.

my favourites are turkish breakfast olives, cos they're "chewier", and not a salty/strong as others.  but then calamata olives have a lot going for them, and stuffed olives.  i do my own "salad", mixing olives with olive oil, with garlic, chillies and lemon in a kilner jar,  and let the flavours mix for a while.  yum...

Yay so i'm not a weirdo after all!

All olives are devine.  I can go through phases where I eat too many kalamata olives and go back to the green ones....but mostly I'm hooked on them all now.  They do marinated ones near where I live...my favourite is the big green olives with garlic and preserved lemon....to die for.  They are so tart and tangy, my mouth is watering now!

I also love lashings of black olive tapenade and fetta cheese in a turkish bread sandwich....toasted....amazing.

I like 'em... all kinds.  Some grocery stores even have an "olive bar" where you can mix up a dozen or so different kinds and buy them by weight.  Don't see that often, but it's nice when I do see one.

I also like an occasional martini, because of the way the liquor enhances the flavor of the olive in it.  The olive in a martini is kind of like the cherry on a sundae (save the best for last).  Emphasis on occasional, because that's usually an expensive drink.  Anyone else here like those?

I love black olives, but I only like green olives. They're too strong for me sometimes. Great, now I want a pizza with mushrooms and olives.
