Try going outside now, if there are no clouds, you have a good chance seeing some.
The annual Perseids Meteor Shower is at it's peak this night.

The moon is interfering a bit.

But I saw the best one ever this night, with a lot of background light from the street I was in.

Had taken my kids with me, my holiday wish, showing them shooting stars.
