Looks more like a psychology book to me for kids who were sexually abused who are in the same situation as the boy.

What a fucked up book. It wouldn't surprise me if some religious and/or homophobic-type wrote this. Not to mention that it glosses over the sexual abuse.

So, his dad is supposed to pick up where his uncle left off?  Also, is this book trying to teach kids that if they tell people about their relationships with adults, the person they're shagging won't be repeatedly tasered by a bunch of police officers and then sent to prison where they'll be stabbed and beaten on a regular basis, and be effectively excluded from society for the rest of their life if they survive and get released?
