I don't think she actually got any tobacco or anything in her mouth. She just chewed up the packet I think. She never got ill anyway. She does put som e stupid things in her mouth tho sometimes. Once I noticed yellow stuff in her poo and it turns out it was from yellow balloons she'd eaten. I thought she been shitting daffodills at first

I have blood drawn every few months to monitor my liver because I'm on medication. My veins stick out nicely, so the technicians have no trouble getting the needle in,
and I only feel a little pinch for a split second. I have relaxed about it to the point that I now watch the needle go in, instead of turning my head.  8)

I do know blood tests are harder for people whose veins are farther below the surface of the skin. Have you had trouble with blood tests in the past?

This all makes me feel kinda stupid about worrying so much about my own blood test... I am 22

good luck for monkeyboy tho. Having it at home will probably be a lot less stressful than going into hospital

I always lay down when I need to get them.
Somehow my vision goes to black after 4 vials.

When I was younger I would just race out of the building ASAP, still not seeing a thing. Pure fright.
And as a kid, I screamed that hard that you could hear it a story higher in hospital it is said.
I was so stressed out then that I became a live fountain once the needle was in me.

(Damn, this is the third time that I am going to try to post this. )

I've never had one that I can remember. I haven't even had an injection for years. Does it feel like injections or is it totally different?

I really hope my veins are good lol

Yes, lots easier. I have no problems with it, apart from me getting nauseous and can sort of black out when they take more than four vials.
That's my hypersensitivity I guess. Noticing the blood loss. I get the same if I burst a vein. I have no angst any more.

If they take only two, I can watch the procedure, and it is all OK.

Totally different from injections. Doesn't hurt that much by far. (Only if you get a real jerk doing it, or if you tense up so much that you can't stretch your arm properly)

The first time in a vein, if the person drawing the blood is good, it feels no worse than an injection.  Just a little pinprick and then it's over.  They put an elastic band around your upper arm and they usually look for veins in the bend of your elbow.  They will probably want you to squeeze a squeezy ball with your hand to make your veins stand out more.  They will wipe the area first with an alcohol swab, and I think you should look away and try to relax your upper arm.  When it's over, they will hold a cotton ball over the site and ask you to press it down to stop it from bleeding, then they wil put a bandage on it.

Will just make you one of the many. No need to be embarrassed if that happens.

If you are afraid of the pain you might feel, you can ask them to wipe the skin 5 minutes before with a cocaine derivative, works like a skin-deep painblocker. And you can also ask for them to use a baby needle. Very thin, and you will hardly be able to feel that one. Will take a bit longer to get what they need though, so not a good option if you want it to be over as quick as can be.

I think I want it over as quickly as possible

It's not the pain itself exactly. It's the idea of it, if that makes sense. Like if they did it out of the top of your arm like they usually do with injections then that wouldn't feel scary. but having them do it out of the opposite of my elbow just gives me a weird feeling. Can't exxplain it. Usually I worryabout these kinda things loads and then they're not half as bad as I'd expected. I think the worrying beforehand is always the hardest part of medical things

I haven't been injected with anything in years, but I think it feels about the same, just a pinch of a needle. It will be OK! :viking:
