Finally feeling really holiday like.

Music blasting from the speakers. No kid complaining about it. And laughing on this place.

:notes:  I love music! I never go a day without it!   :notes:

Love it, but when I have a spinning head, sometimes I need a time of complete silence before I can enjoy music.

I often have a tune stuck in my head anyway, and I tend to tap and grind my teeth to the beat,
which has become a bit of a problem lately! Hot or cold food -----> OUCH!

When I really unwind, and have the opportunity to do that, I crave silence, till a song pops up in my head. Then I either start singing or put on the music I am hearing anyway.

Depends on the day, the moment, the situation, me and what not, how loud the music will be. Sometimes it sounds as soothing as rain, sometimes it has to be a raging tornado, blowing the last mental cobwebs from my brain.

Sometimes I use a very loud I pod to give me what I need when silence is no option. Solitude. But I prefer the route via silence.

Clearing your mind of everything is a necessity when its able to recieve extra stuff.  ;)

Is that the secret you referred to elsewhere? Heh, I have enough trouble clearing out my damn purse!

Part of it. But being able to do these things is kind of like wiggling your ears. Nobody can tell you how. You just have to sort of figure it out.

My brain isn't wired for that. My brain fills itself with verbal clutter and that's the way my brain likes it!

Always wanted to learn to do that.

Practised and practised. Ended up with being able to move my nostrils without anything else in my face moving.  :asthing:

Feeling pretty good, really, especially considering that I was scheduled for hip surgery this week.

My surgery is yet to be scheduled again.  It is a done-deal that I will have surgery to replace my cartilage (maybe more, depending upon wht they find when they get me open).

Excited. The new uni semester starts in a week and I've just been reading the discussion board for one of my subjects. The lecturer has put some topics up to get the discussion started.
Curious, what are you studying? The uni semester for me started last week.

I'm doing a coursework Masters in music, majoring in composition. I'm hoping to get into the research courses after this and eventually get a PhD.
I think last week was orientation week at my uni.

*edit* I forgot to post how I'm feeling: worn out (big day); exasperated (the idiots at WP are more idiotic than usual tonight) and good (good day, and I remembered to ask my orchestra's conductor if I could use her as a reference on my resume).

That's very cool. I admire people who can persevere through that much formal education.   :toporly:

Thanks. :)
