Not really saucy, no, I am just thinking of quitting my night job because the money
is not worth the fatigue, but I feel guilty about letting go of a job "in this economy."

Not really saucy, no, I am just thinking of quitting my night job because the money

Getting yourself stressed and not rested and sick too often because of that is not good for the economy in general, and not good for you in person.

With more time on your hand, you may find yourself more creative in thinking up other ways to make money, like pet-sitting indeed. You would need some PR for yourself if you want to get that going. And that will take time.
