Better, now that the day is getting later.

Yes.  I really wasn't sleepy last night and only got about 5 hours of sleep.

Also I have to get the body and mind used to waking up at 4 or 4:30 on Saturday to be at the polling place at 5:30 to set up for the election.  It's a 15 hour day (until we finish packing up shop at 8:30) and there's not too much chance or place to nap.  It's easier to work my way backwards for waking up than stay awake that long.

Wow, a 15-hour day, do they at least feed you some good food?  :orly:

No.  I would imagine having food delivered safely and at reasonable times to about 100 precincts would be too difficult as well as opening themselves to a lawsuit if anything happened.  Besides, different people like different foods.  We usually brings snacks, fruits and veggies and send someone once or twice for a coffee run (2 minutes away.)  About 6 pm we call for pizza to be delivered.

No such luck, unfortunately. The people who organise my son's autie camp act from the assumption that they know what's best for my kid, better than the kid's parents or indeed anyone else. This they know after having met my son for two days every month since July.

In their infinite wisdom they are splitting up the kids (ten, all in all, plus the five adults there for the kids) into two groups, in spite of the kids being perfectly happy with the current situation. I was told that it's better for my son, that he'll "be seen" in this new constellation with him and just *one* other kid, instead of a larger group that he likes and accepts, and where everyone accepts *him*.

But nobody asked him, or us. They just decided and then sent a letter addressed to my son, telling of this wonderful new organisational castling maneuver. My son, for fuck's sake, my son who is mostly incapable of processing in such information. They didn't bother talking to us first, or asking what we think. They just decided. Of course, both me and my wife protested, several times in various situations and settings, face to face, on the phone, when laving off our son. Again and again. We told them that this we will not accept, there is just no way, and they nodded and agreed and claimed they understood, only to summon us and that other kid's parents into today's meeting, to tell us again how wonderful this would be, how *good* for our son it would be.

And right now I'm so fucking mad that I don't know what to do.

How do the other kid's parents feel about it?

That's shit odeon. :(

Any of the other parents on the same page about this? Maybe a formal letter of complaint signed by some of you and the possible threat to seek out another camp more willing to listen to the needs of your children would make them "reconsider" their viewpoint.
