I feel calm and alert. It's cooler and dryer here today, and I am eating much less sugar and have lost a few pounds. :woohoo:

I'm in shut down mode today. I've never met a person crueler than my ex. Goes out of his way to make me feel comfortable and then find a way to verbally bash me.

Celticgoddess - If you'd really like to piss him off, smile and say "thank you"  in the same sweet tone of voice for everything that upsets you.  I did that with someone at work and it drove them bonkers until they left me alone.  but then your ex is probably better at pushing your buttons than that person was.

This is true. I've found that saying very little gives him nothing to go on. He then invents stuff to rile at me about, but it's better than getting a full verbal lashing. Sometimes I just outright ignore him.
