I figure it this way: IF I keep my job, I'm pretty much forced to - that's
40 hours a week I can't spam in. It's more what I'm doing now, that
I'm worried about; I should be going shopping. But, I got internet for
a reason, so I should be on some.

Passingly well. I abhor the theory and haven't studied it beyond what I had to do in school (diagramming sentences and the like) but I've picked up a lot by osmosis just because I've done a lot of reading.

I can write correctly but often pick popular usage over what's formally correct 'cause I don't want to look like a knowitall.

I'd gauge your mind first, to see how likely you were to do actual damage, how dirty you fought, and what your purpose was. Then I'd defend myself according to what I sensed.
