Pyraxis, I apologize if this question was already asked of you, but what does your username mean
The original Pyraxis was born for the first and only BESM campaign I've ever played (then I went back to
real RPG's,
). She was a flame vampire, who lived off heat instead of blood. But more than that, she was my archetype of the innocent killer. She fed in the same way a predator feeds, just part of the evolution cycle, but grinning like a little anime girl the whole time. It's hard to explain her spirit in words.... it's just something I did at the time, and it worked. She was evil and totally oblivious to it, and her oblivion led her to do great things that the other characters wouldn't dare. She would walk right up to the arch-villain while the other characters froze or ran, and ask "Hey, whatcha reading?" When told it was the Book of Ultimate Evil, she would ask to borrow it. And
she would get away with it out of pure charisma, which is something I had never been able to pull off IRL. And months later near the end of the game, she had so adeptly turned around the plot that she was now walking right into Hell to save the soul of said arch-villain, and did it too, much to the bewilderment of the GM who never quite figured out how the mortal enemy he had planned for the game was suddenly in the role of victim.
So basically she took her evil nature and tapped it for its strengths, to do more good than the so-called "good" people could.
I also use the name to represent the union of creativity and aggressiveness.
do you have or have you ever had an obsession with fire?
Only symbolically. In the real world I'm a complete wuss when it comes to fire and don't even like setting off fireworks. Too jumpy already, last thing I need is more loud noises and potential burning embers. But I'm drawn to mental extremes, the fringes of human existence. I love intensity in all forms, even the painful ones. And I've loved fire colors since before I could talk.
