Peroxide is a no no, even though its reccomended. It damages healthy tissues as well as germs. I would use gental salt water. There is antibacteral components in plants, and if you eat them, you get what they used to defend themselves from their environment. I am not saying don't go to a doc, but this good thing to know, encase other alternatives don't immediately exsist. Tannins in tea have a tightening affect, good for wounds, they are also antibacterial. Black tea has more of these tannins than green tea. Tannins are bitter, so bitter foods probably have alot of these. You could probably make a nice herbal salve, provide you with antioxidants and germ killing power. I don't have my book with me, but it gives great info on this.
