I saw a bumper sticker today that said Jerome, Arizona...Population: Strange.

Is that where you live now?   :zoinks:

It's hot. Like summer. I fear when it gets
up to 120.  :-\

I HATE heat.

Then you would love Phoenix.

I believe that in the summers, it gets up to 120 at times and you can usually swim outdoors on Christmas Day there.

I think that it's the Armpit of Hell, but that's just my opinion.

I'd like it, so long as I had a pool and didn't have to ever wear pantyhose (which I won't anyway).  It would be weird to live somewhere that hot that's not also near the ocean, though.  I might feel claustrophobic.

So....you've been to hell?

It's better without skin, even.

I've been to Vegas, and that was pretty hot too.  I would have to wear 1000 SPF sunscreen out there.  :-\

The PTSD was caused both by a dangerous home life when I was growing up, and by some pretty severe bullying by boys at school.  I really can't explain it any further or better than that.  It's not a secret, just complicated to explain.  I've been receiving some serious counseling for it, and I'm getting a lot better.  My counselor says that my AS probably saved me.  Without my particular "wiring," I would probably not have made it out of my teens.
I wonder if my autism helped me deal with bullying as well. Because I became numb to a lot of it. I still feel cold and sick to the stomach when I remember some of it, though. Whenever I hear of someone being bullied now, I feel really angry.

I like how you said to own it and deal (PTSD). I am trying to get that attitude as well.

When will you make you video of Audrey? Does she meow a lot?

Lucifer, you should have seen the driver of the car.  She was indeed...strange.

Ren, I'm going to upload a vid of Audrey today.  She's going completely spastic over a piece of white lint on a dark blue towel.  She does this all the time.  She's really autistic-acting.  I'm afraid she's got AS!   :zoinks:

And yes, I know my AS helped me cope with bullying to a certain extent.  But in my case, my AS behaviors were what instigated a lot of the bullying.  I'm not saying I deserved the abuse I received, but I can now understand why certain kids reacted to me the way they did.  :-\

I've never felt sorry for myself, and that's been the biggest advantage I could have in dealing with this.  You can find sympathy in the dictionary between shit and syphilis, my dad used to say!     The only reason I choose to tell people about the PTSD is because in case I act weird or mean around them, I don't want them to think it's because of something they've done or said wrong.  I want them to know that it's my problem I'm having to work on, because I don't want to fuck up any more friendships due to it.  I got tired of people either thinking that I was a horrible person or that they'd done something to offend me.

you've never seen me drive: those here who have would probably use other adjectives than "strange", though.
