On AI and TheNeurolands, they come in stages, mostly 10 or so a day, but, once in a while they flood the forums like a tsunami.  Recently on the Neurolands, I had 15 come on all at once.   >:(  Fortunately thats rare.

No they are like junk mail, or telemarketers on your telephone.  They flood a site to advertise for porn, out of country pharmacies, gambling, cheap cigarettes, etc.  Mostly pay porn sites and drugs.  I think, tramadol and fiorcet are the two biggest drug names I have seen.  Viagra is usually associated with porn sites.......................hhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm I wonder why.?   :wanker: 

The botom line is that they will flood a site with all sorts of spam to the point that a site may potentially collapse.   Or even set up spyware that can cause slowdowns on your own computer.  Nasty stuff.
