I am in the greatest, strongest, labor union in the world.

i am a longshoreman.
i belong to ILWU Local 13, LA/LB Harbors.

proud to be what i am.

during college i was particularily interested in law.  i wanted to become a lawyer, but soon learned that it is difficult to make a living out of law unless:
a.) you already have money
b.) are willing to sacrifice your integrity

then i was fascinated by politics.  but quickly learned:
that you cannot be a successful politician unles:
a.) you have an amazing capacity to make concessions
b.) are willing to be molded by a political parties interests
c.) have no moral character, whatsoever.

i knocked up my girlfriend after 3 years of college and decided to make some real money.  i put my feelers out there and came up with an application to become a casual longshoreman.  i took it and the rest is history.
ps-i married the girl to make her honest.  we are still married.  there are secrets to a successful marriage, you know.

space and patience. (my wife gives me both)

really i think that the key ingredient is that both members need to give the other each of these when it is necessary.

too many people want imediate resolution, and sometimes it is both space and patience which helps the problems work themselves out.
i am not saying if you forget it then it will go away.  what i am saying is that oft times providing time and distance between the situation and the moment which it is hammered out, provides a nice calming of tempers.
lets be honest, every relationship has problems.  this is the best way to keep the problems from manifesting themselves.

there is more, but i gotta run now.  my pregnant wife is hungry, and that is another example to make note of.  feed the pregnant lady, NOW!

and i think that my record speaks for itself.

i wqill flame anybody who i think is way out of line. and i would hope that the same would happen to me, when i overstep common decency.

there are certain people who i have flamed without having a clue that they were vulnerable.  but after it has been brought up (through pm, admin forum, my perception, wherever) i tend to back off.  and there have been several instances where i have actually began a pm relationship with the person. 

its just that i don't really feel that just because ascan is a loon, that i need to advertise each individual case of myself showing compassion.  i don't really care about having a solid PR. 
i feel, that right or wrong, what ever happens between myself and an individual, is private.  i have had alot of success, and i will leave it at that.

nah.
to each their own really.  i probably would have never gotten married if it hadn't been for the shotgun variety.  i am a loner, and i always have been.  this marriage stuff is alot of responsibility.

well i can say that i do not have ant STD's.  i have not knocked up a ton of girls (my wife 3x, and a girlfriend once).

so i don't really see a problem with them following in my footsteps.  the thing is that i really don't want to hear about it.  but it would be hipocritical of me to state that they shouldn't have sex if they enjoy it.  i am a hedonist.  just because they are the fairer sex, doesn't mean they should be held to different standard.

 i honestly didn't think that it would be me being professional enough.

it seems that the powerful elite (not my words) are held to a higher standard than the commoners (not my words, either). ?i thought it might create a negative perception. ?but duncvis is an elite person (not my perception) and he has shown me the light.

the name longshoreman come from when a cargo ship would come in (100 years ago) the person in charge of offloading the ship would call out:
