cups don't cause toxic shock at all. as far as i know.

I used applicator tampons. I remember the applicator part completely dissolved in water after use.

you can empty the cup. learn to do it in the shower so you don't make a mess. you can also empty it in the shower every day if it doesn't overflow. some people empty it when they pee. you can dump it in the toilet and then wash it with warm soap water and stick it back in. lol. that what it says on the site anyway. i've never used a cup because i suck at ordering things. :(
