Meet Richard everyone...

His teeth are way too perfect to be a respectable caveman.

To create a movement, though, there must be enough hidden dissent to get the snowball rolling. I think you faced on Aspie CHAOS the same thing that kills fire around here - a general apathy and content with what already exists. Forum mass exoduses (exodi?  :P ) happen when a large group of people are pissed off with the people in charge, and if you'd had that here, you wouldn't have needed to create a new forum in the first place. So instead you just got your personal friends over there, to talk about the same directionless shit that people spam with when they're here. And when Peegai killed your presence, they went with it.

I wish I knew what to do about it, other than to seek out more fucked up people and their drama. It's been one of my major goals to find things in the real world worth fighting for, that line up with my own desires well enough to give me the energy to fight them.
Learn how to fight better, for when you find your battle. Of course, you may never end up with such a conviction...

Sorry, Hadron, not interested in discussing anything of substance with you.

I'm not one to push for great movements. Every now and then,
when drunk enough, I feel the time for me to be drawn has come.
But, those thoughts only last a couple of days. The plans which I kick
around are always too limited for my tastes.

As to the spam, it was just beginning to show signs of moving away from
that. Kinda the bonus of the TW people, and why I may just start again,
but ignore the aspie connection entirely (though there may be a couple I
invite). The spam was just an attempt to give the thing a bit of life, so that
it didn't die entirely. I'm a pretty good spammer, and can do that, for a site.

I suspect that it's the little things which are worth fighting for.
The things one can have. But, worth has nothing to do with it.

Don't you need to practice before the time comes, so that when it does, you'll have the skill and knowledge to do what you're called to?

Fair point, on the spam bringing life to the place. Maybe you're right and it would have turned into something good. Maybe you can talk to Peegai, pick up the pieces, and do it again.

I don't know what skills and knowledge I'll need.
I definitely thought that way once, and practiced what
I thought I WOULD need (archaic weapons, survival skills,
and the like - as well as trying to keep my body in fighting
shape). Now though, I'm convinced that the particular magik
I was trying to work was a dead end (or am I just too lazy after
so much failure?); I should seek though. Lazy.

What would talking with him do? We'll only insult one another.
It's a matter of his conscience, as I see it.

What convinced you it was a dead end?

I doubt he has any idea how there might be a betrayal of honor in what he did, so any effects it would have on his conscience are negligible. Actually I rather suspect he thought he was doing something of worth, though exactly what kind of worth you'd have to find out from him.

What convinced you it was a dead end?

Failure. Repeatedly. Never making the transition
I sought. Promises made were not followed up.
So, I cut a deal. And then, got too seduced into
aspects of 'reality'. Sometimes, at my best, I still
try. Or is that worst? When I most want to die.

I think he did it as a drunken joke, and
then began to devise some rationale for it.
Looking at the posting times seems to confirm this.

The only problem is, the longer he leaves it as is, the more
it is effectively dead - EVEN if the boards are still preserved.
As it stands, I doubt that I can convince a bunch of people
to go through the same hassle of signing up that they had
to go through before.

Thus, I really don't think it matters.

Can't really comment without knowing more of the journey, and I'm not sure this is the place for it anyway. But I do know that I live in hope and success, and try to navigate the change where possible.

Likely true. (And in contrast to the previous, I know. Flawed methodology, on several people's parts.)

It's as good a place as any. I'm not much more unhinged than
Randy. People are used to it.

You are fortunate, to have such delusions. Mine aren't usually
so good.

I find this humorous, along with the fact that
you find pea's act an artistic one. For all I know
(and given haddy) he actually may have convinced
pea to do this.  :zoinks:

Well, judging by that PM of his, he did egg Pea into it. But that doesn't mean he's shown anything interaction-worthy in discussions here.

No. He's always been more of a behind-the-scenes player.
I just never realized quite how many people he was pushing
his crap at.

I knew Scrap and myself. Then there was Richard. One wonders
how many others got crackpot schemes handed to them, which
he was too cowardly to actually do himself.

Kinda like me, but I don't try and push people. I just mention
neat ideas, and see if they do them.
