Do you remember before the internet, that it was thought the cause of collective stupidity was the lack of information?Well...it wasn't that.

Yeah. I'm a laugh a minute.
So, on one hand you say not many are, and then you are getting worried?
Only by making another usergroup. One without a LOT of permissions.Like, no ability to make usergroups. Or to put people in them. Now, in a paid site, I suppose we could mod the site to not show IP addresses, but that seems dumb as hell, in terms of responses to external attacks.I have no problem with exposing mine. Really, you have to ask yourself whether you are this selective about all web pages you load. I could putan apparantly static site up which collects IP addresses. They're NOT thatdangerous to hand out. Every server that you visit has access to it, for christ'ssake.
i don't know who else was involved though, other than flake and shleed - they said i had "other enemies"for all i know, there could be a shitload of people pretending to be my friend, but actually trying to screw my computer up or threaten me and my family
Your IP wouldn't affect that.Posting your real e-mail address anywhereis FAR stupider than allowing someone tosee your IP.In fact, e-mailing people with your real address is a risk, right off - such packets can be sniffed, youknow. Unlikely as hell that they're encrypted.
Except that I copied it, and published it on 4 chan,as someone who was making fun of them.
