Aspie CHAOS!

--- Quote from: purposefulinsanity on February 18, 2008, 08:49:21 AM ---I have to say I'm not sure whether the positives of everyone being admins outweigh the bad. Some of the positives are obviously the chaos and no power struggles. But the bad points- people having access to IP addresses who perhaps shouldn't have imo, and the potential for it to become one endless prankfest (possibly a good point too).

I don't think it's possible to have EVERYONE be an admin.
But, SMF is remarkably flexible. First, some of the privileges
could be denied to regular members (something of a sanity
clause - there are things which no one really needs). There
could also be a vetting period, for new members.
As to pranks, they would get boring (I suspect) if
they could be reversed easily. So, a whole etiquette
could develop. I don't really know.

The lack of coherent vision is my main hesitation, but I suppose that's the point, so it might not be for me.

The vision is what we're talking about here. Personally,
I'm seeing flaws here which are causing us to lose members.
I'd like to regain some of those - many of whom where our
most seriously divergent thinkers. Largely, I'd like to see a place
like intensity, but with a bit more vision than the whole "the only
rule here..." crap, which is OBVIOUSLY not the case.

Eh.

You wouldn't have to be.

e-mail isn't required. I use a spam account here.
Anyhow, as I said, not everything would have
to be available.

Oh, come on, she was a member of the spam busters,
until she made a mistake. I think we had IP access then.
This is largely what the vetting process might entail, allowing
people to see who was being admitted, so that they COULD
resign.
Parts:
I think it might just turn out to be one big cluster fuck though and not be around long
Too many bosses is not always a good thing it just fucks things up
