I'm also on a DSP (Disability Support Pension). Been thinking of doing a TAFE Course on networking and servers and shit. It will at least teach me how to use Linux enough to get started on it.

Apart from that, I just waste time on the internets and watching shit I download on my Media PC.

Oh yeah and I also do husband stuff and father stuff.
How difficult was it for you to get the DSP?
I went to get Newstart or whatever it is called at Centrelink, they looked at the application form I filled out and they said, "Autism? Well just have an interview with the psychologist here and you can get the DSP."

Got diagnosed by Dr. Richard Eisenmajer a having Aspergers Syndrome. He writes it down as  PDD-NOS on the right forms, put em in at  Centrelink. Short Interview at Centrelink. Sit back and collect moneies. All together took around 6 months with 4 of them waiting for appointment with Eisenmajer. Nice guy, even let me pay off my bill (around $500).

I too am on the DSP. And coincedentally it was Richard Eisenmajer who made it possible by diagnosing me as the ambiguous Autism Spectrum Disorder. I only saw him once, but wished I had the opportunity to see him more often I enjoyed talking with him.
But now I'm in WA...So unlikely that I'll see him again.
It is freaky how much you two have in common.

We are twins separated across space and time. I am the evil one.

Can both twins be evil? I have the goatie and I even have a black jedi cloak. I mean how evil is that?

Ok, I'm more of a rogue anyways ;)

Rogue twin and evil twin eh.... I can go with that :insane:

You have a black Jedi cloak?

Do you have a picture of it, by any chance?

I'm planning to make a black Darth Vader cloak for my husband.  He already has the mask.

I could take a picture I guess. Basicly its from a pattern. Some pattern company that does knock offs of stuff like that, they give them different but similar names, like Space Knight instead of Jedi (just an example, not actual name). Its just the regular jedi cloak but done in black. I'll see if I can track down the company and name of the pattern for you. I'll have to ask the boss (read wife).

Thanks, Phlexor.  Your wife made it for you?  That's cool.

Social Security Disability Insurance
I came to this world with nothing
and I leave with nothing but love,
everything else is just borrowed.

Fuck it, we'll do it live.

Insurance? So Social Security insures you'll be disabled? Do you regularly get visitors with baseball bats and ECT machines? :P

No, but if you become disabled to the point that you cannot work at all, it gives you a little income.

I am on disability income myself, and it appears I don't have one.  What is left appears to be related to something medical, as the body fat machine reads a bit high of a level of body fat, despite, me being skinnny.  I don't think the thing is broken, what it is suggesting is I have some kind of diease.  I have one more thing I can try to make it more accurate, but I don't think its going to work.  All I know is, I just got over cancer.
How could I be disabled medically when I can do aerobics for 11 hours at a time?  My memory is sharp as a tack, and you know I am secretely working with Callaway, to help the government. I am also plagarizing my psychology book

If I was spokane girl, I would take full advantage of her "time off"and start an exercise program.  Perhaps with some lifestyle adjustments, like I have done, she get keep a job.  This infact reduces her disability, perhaps enough to keep a job.  You might make more if you work.  The jobs in my area don't pay enough for me to bother with them, nor is anyone going to believe a clinical social worker screwed up.  I won't mention his name, and I had Callaway delete where I did.  Its crowded in here, and finding a job is tough.  I feel bad about this, really bad, but I am taking advantage of this time to help myself, so I can help others in need. That is all I can do.  Its rationalizing my behavior, but at least it doesn't get me into trouble, and at least it doesn't prevent me from making positive changes in my life.  Perhaps somewhere down the lines, if I see something good enough, I will get SSI.

I think Spokane Girl is pretty successful in her life and I admire her. She has a job, a boyfriend, an apartment and her own car. Randy, do you have all those?

In Australia (I don't know if it is the same in America), if you are found to be on disability payments when you are not disabled, you have to pay all the money that you got back to the government.

Sorry for the late reply, but we only just found the pattern (yeah we are really bad pack rats here).

It's a pattern by Simplicity from their Costumes for Adults range, Pattern Number 4450.

From what I've read, it appears to be out of print, so may be very hard to find. You may have some luck on something like eBay, but you might have to be prepared to pay.

Here's an eBay link to give you an idea Click Me

It doesn't make sense to compare apples to bananas, to be fair, the situations should be the same.  I don't have money privalege, and I am very deserving.   Cars just pollute, I am in no hurry to own one, especially due to the fact people are too crazy about that inanimate object.  I am doing something she is not, I set higher, tougher standarts, so it takes me longer.
