Yeah it's 18 in a few states it looks like. Because I keep hearing different information about the age of consent and reading different information about it, the safe age of having sex with someone is when they are 18. I don't want to get busted with the law just because I didn't know the law was 18. I wouldn't feel comfortable having sex with a minor anyway. Same with dating.

There are people out there that think people are pedos for having sex with 16 or 17 year olds or younger even though they're at the age of consent where they are from. It's 12 in some countries which surprised me and nine in one country but you must be married. Who lets children get married that young?

I was interested, and flirting with

I would though. The real issue being
a matter of trusting them to not change.

They were dating and the girl's father turned him in when he found out they were having sex. He got put away and will be there for a long time. He was given a three strike rule because he kept getting into trouble for doing auto theft and the third strike was statonary rape. It all happened here in Oregon.

Yeah. One of my wife's friends was threatened
(but not prosecuted) for a 14 year old. Pretty
much exactly the scenario that I feared. He fell
for her completely, and she thought she had.
Wasn't really old enough, and broke things off
(he claims 'twas her parents forcing the issue,
but whatever - it doesn't really matter: if she
was strong enough, she wouldn't have). Ended
up continuing to pursue, and basically was told
to stay the fuck away, or they'd nail him. He was
in his 30's, at the time.

I've known a number of women who's first affair
was with a much older man. I have to say, I'm not
too impressed with most of the guys, but some seemed
to have been good. I think this guy was.
