I'd be jealous if I didn't get my first real fix in years this winter.

I've been all over the place. The ones with an annoying lack of snow were Georgia, Texas and Scotland.

Not the part of Scotland I was in. It just rained all winter.

I actually liked Georgia better than Texas (mist and swamp are gorgeous IMO), but I missed my proper Canadian winters.

Scottish winters are completely shit, especially in recent years.

I live in Gawgah.   ;D  The winters are getting warmer every year, and on the one day a year when it actually snows for two seconds, people go all ape-doodoo.  ::)  Very annoying.  But I like the warm weather here in the South, tbh.  I'd like to move to Florida.

My mom and stepdad retired up to Maine, and they love it up there.  Real winters, with real snow.
hats off to the man on top of the world
come crawl up here baby, and we can watch this damn thing turn

I used to live in Alabama and I liked it there, especially in the winter.

You are correct about the people in the Southeast going ape when it snows an inch, though.  People there have very little experience with snow, and don't know how to drive in it as a rule, so they clean out the grocery stores if snow is even in in their forecast.  Also every single TV station has every show preempted for "Flakewatch."

Winter is by and large over here in NC.  We're going to be in the 70s on Tuesday.

People were crazy here too,
over just a few inches. But, many
come from parts of the state where
it DOES snow, so they have some clue.
