I guess I have to spell it out for you, I am prone to getting annoyed easier when you say I am stupid because I am working so hard.  I honestly don't find myself stupid over typo, I would certainly get depressed very easily, then you might have something over me. Renaeden, I was refering to the others, and no offense when you get confused, it looks dumber than when I make a typo.  Typos are not as bothersome to me as you getting confused.  Although, I would rather have everything equal, even if that means I have to ask for some help.  Smart people can ask for help if they need it.  You have what your good at.

Quite a few of you are getting drunk also, that doesn't help your intellegence or mood. That is more dumb, and I hope you stop your ominous behavior. :)
What is with you and talking about alcohol all of a sudden?
Some peoples lives revolve around the stuff, I dont see why it should be a talking point. Its a change from the Ginseng.

Also, you seem to be lumping a lot of us into the same group. I have never been drunk in my life.
Thats pretty sad if you havent to be honest with you.  Having said that, I suspect you have been wasted on more than one occasion, giving the different meds you have tried.

Why don't you go to another forum where your "self-actualising" will be appreciated? There has to be one out there. Somewhere. Maybe.
It is appreciated, I find Randy hilarious. Do things have to be universally popular or something now...?

That's bullshit
If it weren't for depression, I would never have been drunk either, and would have no intention of getting drunk
Some people can actually have a good time without getting fucked off their face
What you view as being a worthwhile way to spend your time, isn't necessarily what everyone else wants to do

If you were not depressed you would go out and have the almost obligatory drink, or at least I hope.

You dont have to get fucked off your face all the time, but if you try alcohol there is an inevitability you are going to get drunk, until you know your limits.

As for some people, who on here are you referring to on here?

Rationalizing one's behavior doesn't usually help, and there seems to be some of that going on here.

I doubt I would go out and have a drink even if I wasn't depressed. I've been to the pub before and didn't like it, was a waste of time for me
I dion't like alcohol so unless I want to get drunk, I doubt I'd have any reason to drink it

And I have tried alcohol a lot without getting drunk
Having a couple of drinks now and then is one thing, actually getting pissed is another

The "some people" was in general
I don't think I was referring to anyone on here

Btw I'm not bothered about people getting drunk, I'm not criticisng you for that or anything - it was just the assumption that it's sad not to that I disagreed with

Yes you would. Being more social almost certainly will drag you into it, until you enjoy your drink.

But if you do drink socially, eventually you will get drunk. Its almost a certainty

It is sad, when you examine the reasons why.

No I wouldn't
My not going out drinking isn't down to depression, or even just anxiety.
When I was younger I wasn't depressed like this, and my anxiety wasn't as severe, I went out sometimes and never got drunk

It depends
I could go out and have a couple drinks and not get drunk
I've drank plenty of times, without getting drunk

Muslims?
I don't get drunk except to deal with depression, and I'm not muslim
I'm atheist and can't stand religion
You don't have to be muslim to have no desire to get pissed

Not everyone's reasons are the same
SOME people don't drink becuase of their religion or their upbringing and think it's "wrong" or whatever
But there are plenty of people who just don't want to
That's not sad
What WOULD be sad, is those people then drinking anyway just because other people are or other people are telling them to
I don't think it's sad to not do something just because you don't want to
It makes sense

Because you didnt enjoy going out in the first place. If you are enjoying yourself, the last thing you pay attention to is your alcohol intake.

So have I. Although there have been occasions when I have overstepped the mark, which happen if you go out drinking often enough, especially as a student.

Yeah, but that does mean you have little or no reason not to get pissed. (not that being a member of some bullshit religion is an excuse)

Not everyone's reasons are the same
SOME people don't drink becuase of their religion or their upbringing and think it's "wrong" or whatever
Its really sad that they define themselves on whatever circumstances they were born into.

What WOULD be sad, is those people then drinking anyway just because other people are or other people are telling them to
What is sad is that they dont trust their friends at all. Most people who refuse to drink do it because of one form of cowardice or another.

No, what makes sense is you try new things. If you dont try new things, you become a recluse

You're quite used to making those excuses, aren't you?

I can stop drinking whenever I want to, quite comfortably. I choose not to.

Yeah, that's the other one.
I might have to stop permanently soonish, so I am enjoying it while I can. Problemo?

I suspect you'll find an excuse.
