It's disappointing that you feel that way about Lumbus' opinions. I read every point and felt that they were very sound, open minded and match many of my own opinions about the way the Autistic Community should conduct itself within and without.
Differing perspectives can and often do clash, and can lead to violent arguments between all parties. But if those parties took a moment to pause, and really try to understand why the other parties have those perspectives at all, the arguments can be distilled to a mere discussion.
Just because someone disagrees with <i>you</i> does not make them automatically incorrect, nor does it make you automatically correct by contrast.
As I've always said, there are three side to every situation; each parties' perspective and the absolute truth. It's rare to understand the absolute truth, so I make it my business to understand all parties' perspectives. Which is why I refrain from my baser instinct of calling you an arrogant twit, because I took the time to read what you said and took the time to attempt to understand it's underlying meaning.
Instead of attacking those who disagree with you, why don't you take the time to understand them?
