But unless it's about being Jewish, I generally look down on people who brag about their ancestry. I'd much rather people brag about something that is an actual accomplishment or at least an active decision that they made, than brag about a collection of exotic backgrounds that are usually arbitrary anyways.

Also, all you Americans who like to say you're Irish, for example. Go to Ireland and see how Irish they think you are.

Bragging sucks. Acknowledging is different again and so is sharing.

No one should forget their roots.
