Definitely, if he drank milk before it was pasteurized.

The reason that the US started selling pasteurized milk is that over 5000 babies a year died from illnesses caused by unpasteurized milk.

Tuberculosis was a big one, but salmonella and campylobacter, as well as many other disease causing microorganisms, are also found in raw milk.

In many states, it is illegal to sell unpasteurized milk, and in many others it can be purchased only directly from farmers.  In California, it can be bought from grocery stores and it is made primarily by Alta Dena, but it is still a significant health threat.

I'm sure he did.

I had to switch to unpasteurized milk.
Somehow, it got around whatever allergy
I developed to milk. Now, it doesn't bother
me, but when I was a teen, I had to try
all kinds of alternatives. We were shocked
that fresh from the cow worked fine.

I wonder what you could have been allergic to, that raw milk didn't have but pasteurized milk did.

I have had raw milk before too.  My neighbor had dairy cows.  He even let me try to milk one, but my hands weren't very strong or coordinated.

I have no idea. I've been told
that this is impossible. Nonetheless.

The reason we tried was that we were
told by the woman we got goat's milk
from that this was sometimes the case.
She had no REASON though. Just experience.

I've milked cows. Yeah, it takes strength in the
hands. I like the feeling though, but it tired me
out. My first gf's father had a milk cow. What a
treat.

A part of Malmö is named after my ancestors, and a childrens hospital. And some country landmarks like this house:

One of my ancestors was a grand master of a society named Cedant Curæ, in which many prominent members of the Swedish society has been members in and he was also a prominent member of the freemasons. His father was a bishop. Another ancestor was a doctor for the swedish king. Many academics in the family.
Booyah.

Researching ancestry is a special interest yet to find me. I don't rule it out though.  ;)
