Hacking a Razr

...has anyone here done it, or even tried?  I just spent almost two hours doing as hacktherazr.com told me, and my stupid cell phone is still not putting out for me.  I swear to god, it's frigid.  I have the driver in, it gets plugged in, it's connected, but every time I try to get it to do something my computer stops recognizing the hardware.

It's a hacktease.

And all I want is to get the pics I have no there onto my computer.  WITHOUT paying, of course.   :laugh:

My phone uses a mini-SD card; I just pop it out and stick it in a card reader to transfer things to my PC.  It also connects wirelessly, so I can email things to myself using my home connection or anyone else's connection if it's open to me, and could probably set up a file transfer with my comp if I could be arsed figuring it out.  You need a more promiscuous phone; one that'll do it anywhere, anytime with anything.

Maybe you need some better instruction... or a personal tutor.

I thought it was just me that had this problem!

What I have been doing is sending my pictures to GA's phone which is a similar model to mine and he puts it on the computer. Still it is annoying but I never thought anything of it since I always have trouble with electronic things not working for me.

Razrs are designed to make their makers as much money as possible- either by making you send the pics to yourself (for a cost) or by making you buy expensive extras to get the stuff onto your comp.

Yeah- I didn't know it would do that, and it was free with the service.  And I really needed a new phone.

Besides which I have a camera if I need pics.  I just kinda want the snapshots I've taken.

I am surprised you don't have a slot for a Mini-SD or some kind of flash card.   It just has a USB hookup?

I was looking at a Razr just today as a possible replacement for my current cellphone (a bulky old Nokia, the cheapo model from two years ago).  Turned the Razr down because it doesn't have a standard headphone jack to fit the headset I've already got.  The other models in my cell service provider's shop were either too expensive, an off-brand, or just plain sucked.  (Got a pet-peeve about being able to see the clock at a glance.  What ever happened to those OLED displays some models had just a couple years ago?  Those don't need backlighting, so you can just glance at them in the dark and not have to push any buttons.)
