Born in the wrong time
« on: December 26, 2007, 09:28:17 PM »
Anybody else feel the where born into the wrong era?  I have always felt this way but have a hard time with when.  Generally I feel the early to mid nineteenth century is more my speed and others?

I might have started it!  Been thinking a lot about it lately along with the desire to be a hermit

Musically I should be in the 60's. One problem. My other obsession that stands next to The Beatles is video games. So no. Don't send me to the 60's.

Yeah. I belong in a feudal period.
I can't handle the freedom, and
lack of loyalty which exist today.

i was telling mom yesterday while watching Ballet Shoes how cool it would have been to live in those days... it was in the 30s or something, and life seemed so much simpler then... but i probably would have been chucked in the mental bin and given a lobotomy and electric shocks so i guess i'd have needed to be all normal and shit... :P

I'd like the future but am afraid of what it my become if it was a place of individual rights and space to move about it might be good.  I think the Western Us before the mass movement of settlers would be nice lots of land and freedom

I should either have been born in a libertarian future where people could technologically modify themselves, particularly their minds, and ply the depths between the stars, or in pre-history, before the first twinklings of civilisation.

i always wanted to have been born as a cave child. a simple life before schools. i would lay with a wood bark ball and roam the forests. mom would make buffalo soup while i played.

That sounds good I'd go for that one

It makes me sad that there isn't any unclaimed land left.  I wish I could go forth and tame the land, but it's all been tamed already or at least is owned by someone.
