I used to cycle about 15km to uni and back most week days.  I got pretty fit from it, but I was breathing in a lot of fumes, particularly from buses, which I tended to get stuck behind.  The buses here release big sooty clouds of filth when they pull away from a bus stop or traffic lights, and it made my lungs feel horrible.

I plan on biking back and fourth if and when I can move closer to my work. It's in a rural area so I won't have to worry too much about traffic and fumes.
