I'v never hid the fact that I find the whole New Years thing hysteria a big heaping pile of and just people's excuses to get drunk and act like fools and try to get laid.  Especially since I consider the end of one year and the beginning of a new one a purely artificial human construct.  Plus the Muslims, Jews, Chinese, Japanese, Russian Orthodox church etc, all have different New Years or Calendar years.

For the most part I'm usually in bed long before midnight!

Agreed.  I can "celebrate" the "New Year" just as well sitting in my comfy chair, with a nice glass of wine/whiskey/whatever.  Warm and cozy in my PJ's and feeling fresh from a nice hot shower, listening to some of my favorite tunes or watching the hysterical masses in times square freezing their asses off, half naked, drunk, screaming staring at a ball sliding down a pole (talk about a sexual image    ) screaming out the numbers till the new year number flashes when the ball hits the bottom.     La what fun!!

I sometimes wonder how many men use the pick up line, "Hey baby, wanna slide down MY pole."  On New Years Eve!

I never liked clubs and bars either wait till you get to the higher level university courses you will meet more people with similar interests

Really? Most that I've known HATED HS.

but then they just go off and get a job and then die

It doesn't have to be that way.
Most important, is to find what you
love to do, and do it. My own course
towards this sorta worked - but it's best
if it's something people will pay you a bit
for.

and i am probably the only 19 year old in the country who hasn't been asked to go anywhere for new years eve. again. lol

Would you like to play poker with my brother's in laws on NYE with me?

they all seem to be having fun and going to parties and getting laid

i don't know what anymore. i mean i know it'[s history, but whenever i try and think about it in terms of the future i just think about sophie and lose all motivation. im hoping this is temporary, it's been two months today (boxing day) that i found out she died. 2 months, 2 days since it happpened. maybe this will change in a while?

Don't worry there are plenty who are not and half the ones who say they are are full of it anyway just be yourself

i've been to one  when i was 16

the only reason i was asked was because there was another girl who wanted to go, but had nowhere to stay the night. i lived nearby so they invited me so she could stay at my house after. of course, they don't admit that, but given that i was asked several days after everyone else and only after they'd realised she could stay at mine, i think i can tell why   

Did you offer to share your bed with her to keep her warm in the cold, lonely winter's night?
