Intro

I heard, over on WP, some rather harsh analysis about this site and it's citizens. I felt a need to break myself off some of that ;-)

A short auto-synopsis:

I went to the psychologist recently for confirmation of my suspicions. I prepared myself for a difficult time, figuring we might have to wrestle a bit over the exact diagnosis. Apparently, the psychologist had no trouble at all. I guess my symptoms weren't as subtle as I had always thought ;- )

I have a job at help desk that makes me feel hopeless and sad. I take photos, which makes me hopeful and happy. Go ahead and guess which one I get paid for.

I  like Truth, and hate Drama. I can be rather short tempered when confronted with willing ignorance. I've been online long enough to have seen every kind of asshole - and in multiple formats. I no longer find them entertaining, nor even very irritating. Sometimes, if I have the time and energy, I'll give them some good advice. Usually, I'll frown a bit, type a line or two, delete them, close the window, and go back to downloading esoteric bits of "art" from usenet groups.

On the other hand, anyone reasonable is always welcome to say whatever they like to me.

You're absolutely right about not sharing too much personal info. However, there's nothing left that I haven't already sacrificed to the Google Monster more than a decade ago. Not much point to being cagey at this point. ;-)

Soon enough, none of will have a private life.

BTW, did you know that sitting in a parking lot, typing on an iPod, will give you carpal finger?!

Anyway, welcome to Intensity².

I looked at some of your pictures and I liked everything that I saw.

I was curious about what you heard about us, whether it was Alex's eloquent, "That site sucks," or whether it was something from our Intensity² Recruitment Chairman, "... a barely-legal, completely unethical, den of iniquity that exists mainly for the amusement of a socially-able aspergic elite," or something else.  We have those two on our front page.

I saw a few references to this site on WP. Mostly, they were fairly lame attempts to insert it into the Evil Site thread. But I was intrigued by the attempt. I tend to be curious whenever someone says there's something I shouldn't see ;-)

Thanks for the compliments in reference to my photos. It's my current preoccupation. I'm very curious about other aspie photographers, and heard there may be some here. I'm looking for a common thread(s) in the photography of autistics. Thinking of putting together a website, show, book, calendar, whatever. Mostly looking forward to gaining a deeper understanding of how aspies/autistics approach Art.

aspies can be very artistic. many are. i used to take photos but i'm not into it anymore. i used to paint and draw and write poems too. but i can't be assed anymore.
