am meeting some aspies on campus...

but i just have a lot of work and am in a crappy emotional situation so im sure it's more my fault for not feeling like being more social...

but most the kids in our program are married and live like 30 min away and are just kinda lame in general

Sorry to hear you aren't finding any entertainment in the area.   I have only been to DC three times in my life, so I know jack shit to do there other than the obvious tourist crap.   It sure as hell is easy for me to not feel like socializing.   I probably talk to a maximum of 3 people a day while I am on campus (including TAs and Professors).   People suck haha.   Most of my friends who got married became lame not long after the marriage.   They do nothing that is fun anymore, just live out boring as hell lives.

I do too, unfortunately.

My husband has an excellent directional sense, so he did the navigating when we visited there last summer.

am tryin to get him to come teach out here... but dont blame him for wanting to stay in eugene.  i woulndt want to live here either really..  loved eugene, and charleston SC, for that matter.

he was first aspie i ever met.  he looked like willie wonka when i met him.  he is strange, but maybe not so much to me... if that makes sense.  he TAed at the same uni I was TAing (teaching assistantship) at.... his office was right across the street from mine.
