I had to dig it out again when I was in the hospital because I had to go and couldn't because it hurt to push due to giving birth and I had to be sewn up because I tore and I was swollen down there and the epidural was wearing off so I was finally feeling the pain down there. But I was given pills every six hours to keep it down. Now I am getting better. I read its two weeks to recover from it. It's been a week now.

If you are still constipated, you should try MiraLax.  You can get it over the counter at Wal-Mart or Walgreens and it stays inside your digestive system, so it shouldn't affect the baby.  I used that when I was taking Percocet while recovering from my anke surgery a year ago and it worked very well for me.

I'm pooping better now and I let it come out on it's own and I give it a little push. I do it slowly and I was given stool softeners to take. It just takes me longer to get it out and I wait till it's ready.
