The problem is that the Beatles are big in the USA, but noone in the UK knows who CCR are.

Like a lot of bands from that time period, I like some of their stuff, mostly from their later years.  "Revolver" "Sgt. Pepper" etc.  Music is subjective, I like the Beatles in context with all the other bands of that time.  The Doors, Jethro Tull, Steppenwolf, CCR, Jefferson Airplane, Lovin Spoonful, The Rascals, Chad and Jeremy, etc.  Certain songs I love, certain songs I don't.

It is all a bunch of white guys watering down and bastardizing the blues.   That is how I feel about early rock music.   Easily the most overrated shit in the history of music.
