Ate this as an afternoon snack 20 minutes ago. (5) soft goat's cheese pieces and (2/at top) fig halves wrapped in bacon. Shortly heated in frying pan. With a big cup of tea.

Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls, corn, gravy, chocolate pie, wine.


I'm not going to be here for Thanksgiving, so we had it early. Was nice to spend sometime with the family. I hadn't seen them for six months.

Crackers with mushrooms.
Buttered toast with red curry paste.
A cup of chilled berry tea.
Pasta with a sauce made from white wine, blue cheese and peppercorns.
Going to have a cup of peppermint tea for supper.

Thank you, renaeden. Just really like to cook nowadays.

Tonight I made 'hutspot' but a little different than before. Used way less butter, some stock, threw an chopped up apple in and used fresh parsley and celery leaves. This with a sausage and a little bit of gravy. 'Twas nice.
