Small ham and swiss cheese poorboy, dressed, and a banana
Is that a Southern specialty? Please elaborate!
A poorboy (po'boy) is a sandwich made from a length of french bread anywhere from 4 to 12 inches, sliced lengthwise. The most popular are ham, roast beef and gravy, and fried shrimp or oyster. Other fillings can include fried potatoes and roast beef gravy, alligator sausage, meatballs, etc. Dressed means lettuce, tomato and pickle. The traditional drink with it is Barqs root beer or real beer, but nowadays Coke is more popular than Barqs. New Orleans is a Coke town rathter than a Pepsi town.
