I made a "breakfast thing"  for the evening meal today.

I made cottage fries, bacon, eggs and toast. (very healthful, I am sure.)

A diner I go to (more often than I should makes) "Alll the Way Hash Browns"  -  Hash browns with onions, diced ham or sausage, scrambled eggs, bell pepper, hot peppers and cheese.  For 4.99 it will hold you for most of the day.

Sounds oh so wrong, but oh so good.

:agreed:  It's not just breakfast, it's a casserole!

This morning, I awoke very early and I became creative in the kitchen.

I found a can of "Crescent Rolls" and got out the muffin pan. I unrolled the dough and instead of rolling it back up into "crescents,"  I cut it into circles with a glass, then lined the muffin tin with the little circles. I put some eggs into a large bowl and whipped them up, adding some minced ham, onion, bell pepper and cheese to the mix. I then spooned the (quiche) mixture into the lined muffin tins and baked it until I thought it was about right, then sprinkled more cheese over the top and browned it, slightly.

It was even better than I had thought it could have been and now the punchline:

My picky-eater daughter even gobbled them down.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

These sound delicious. The little tartlet option is a great way to stuff kids full of vegetables and all things good. Everything goes well with pastry...just a pity it's a little bit naughty. I have done it with wholemeal bread slices as bases in tart tins also.

Leftover pizza. A half a cupcake. Some carrot cake too. I'm not a cake person. Or a pizza person. Naughty days.

Carrot cake is practically a vegetable!

Tacos.

And crisps, more recently.

Gado Gado, with basmati rice, green beens, carrots, mung been sprouts and cucumber, peanut sauce of course. And some acar campur and krupuk going with it.

For dessert chocolate ice, pieces of orange, an orange caramel sauce and some biscuits.

I had a great meal with 4 girls who were completely bananas. (in a pleasant way)

One of the corollaries I've found is that the more a picky eater will like to eat is inversely proportional to the cost of the food or the amount available.  That is, picky eaters won't like peanut butter, but will love shrimp or steak.  They won't want something unless it's the last piece and you're dying to eat it.  Just my experiences.

I feel sorry for the banana though, he only has one bulging eye. :cynan:

And I think the orange has AS, he's a little bit unco-ordinated, but I guess he's giving it a go with a smile on his face!

Yes, he's imitating the behavior of others in order to fit in!  :viking:

Either that, or he's related to me! I am a similarly awkward dancer!
