Just had a serving of cottage pie. The plate had a very slight, but detectable odor of benzaldehyde, doubtless from the microwave that had been irradiating a mixture of benzaldehyde and a couple of other reagents. Still tasted good though. (couldn't taste the benz on the cottage pie, not much anyway, , not that it would have been harmful, especially in the traces present, since its used in larger quantities than I've just absorbed in artificial almond essence for baking)
