Made and ate cannelloni this evening.
'Pipes' made of pasta (durum wheat) filled, this time, with finely chopped up shallot, leek, bacon, garlic.. some ricotta, herbs, etc.. cooked-through enough in a wok before stuffing it in the 5 (3 in the picture, still) cylindrical shaped 'channels'.
Italian-ish tomato sauce surrounding/over the 5 pasta-pipes (the filled cannellonies cook-through in the oven/they're be done cause the sauce boils them). Freshly grated cheese on top first.. and.. 20 minutes later/filled glass plate out of the oven.. one has a pretty nice supper.
Filling them with spinach, ricotta, minced meat, etc.. is really nice also.
