i had some quorn "bacon" in colcannon yesterday. funny, cos i didn't like/eat bacon, when i was a carnivore, all those millenia ago...
that sounds good. i loved bacon. is the mock up any good?
well, like most pseudo-meat things, the texture isn't all that - the chewiness isn't there, although some of the quasi-chicken thingies are better. but it has that smokey taste, and i like it crispy anyway.
i made the colcannon with cavalo nero (black kale) and red onion, potato, leeks and spinach (have to have trillions of veggies, or it's not a real meal, unless i'm having a "gack" meal, once in a while). it really was rather delish.
