Terrorism strikes me as just as legitimate a form of
war as any other. It is unreasonable to assume that
those without the military means to enforce there
will should be more restricted in their desires solely
on that point. Revolutions and insurrections almost
always fall into this category, and not all of them seem
without merit.
Nonetheless, I believe that ANY form of warfare is probably
a huge mistake. Although Israel has more or less put itself into
a position wherein a loss might actually be more catastrophic
to its citizenry than surrender. May have been the case from
the founding, although there had been very few problems
in the Ottoman territories. I suspect that the whole Balfour
declaration was a terrible mistake, inflicted on all the people
who were native to the area. The founding just realized that
error.
