how can i translate that into american?

Although Clive Barker writes in the 'Young Author' genre, it's never stopped me from enjoying his books.  AND he's as flaming as they come (since that seems to be the topic of the day)

blimey - some of his books are such uncomfortable reading, they scare the fucking bejaysus out of me.  i'm thinking "weaveworld", "imajica", "everville", and "the great and secert show", which aren't even his horror books!  he also wrote "the hellbound heart"  which was filmed as "hellraiser".

Well howdy do.  Dunc and I agree on something at last. 
And yes, Lu, many of his books are in the Young Adult section, at least at our libraries.
The reason I posted that picture is that Clive does the illustrations for his books.  Fucking fantastic!
