Internet while abroad - an odd reciprocal idea I'm floating

Hi.

As we're all netheads and love the web I have an idea.

Next year I'm thinking of visiting Europe.  I know that some of you are based there so here's my idea.

I take my laptop with me and, if I'm in the area, I come to visit you.  I could spend maybe a day with you, use your PC (or wireless if you have one) to upload photos and update you lot on my travels, we chat, I take you out for a meal/buy you a six-pack of beer/or other small favour.  We could set up a small network of places we can go to if we're in the area - so, say, if someone from Sweden's visiting northern England they could drop in and have a chat with me.

What about it?  In truth I'm thinking about how the hell I'm going to get decent Internet to upload stuff while I'm abroad... :D

Not for the amount of uploading I need to do (I'm a photographer and need to upload hires stuff to Flickr).  And it would be nice to meet some local Aspies - all part of the fun of visiting a foreign country, to see how they live.

Hmm, I dont think there are many aspies on intensity that live in mainland europe, probably because of the language barriers. Id hate to say this, but you would have a lot better chance asking on WP if you wanted to meet contenental aspies.

I was thinking that myself Hardon.

I'll do that closer to the time, I think.  It's just a way of meeting people that I can identify with in some way.  And we'll probably have the Internet thing in common too.
