My student got an A+ on her violin exam.
Her teacher must have done something right.

I saw some houses and units for sale!! :cheer:

The first one (a unit) was a bit 70's and needed a new kitchen, albeit it was the most spacious of the ones I saw.

The second one (another unit in a highrise) was very tiny. "You couldn't swing a cat in it" as my dad would say.

The third one (a house) was very old but in ok shape. A bit outta my price range though.

The forth one (a villla-ish unit thing) was nice enough. Still worried about the body corp (cheap per quarter but the gardens & building exterior are neglected)

At least you've started the search. The more homes you see, the better an idea you'll have of what you want to buy.

The first one sounds cool.

How did you do that? And at what point do you think she'll finally see through your machinations?

:plus:  to her and to you too, you taught her well.

I was also her piano accompanist at the exam. Her mother is "very grateful" and giving me all the credit. She also has an excellent teacher at school; I don't know why he isn't getting any credit.

I think I had a threeway last night.
But I'm not quite sure. Maybe I just gave one of them a handjob. That doesn't count.

How can you not be sure? What's the point of doing it if you can't be sure?

 :-\ :-*

And if it's something you wanted (which is the most important thing) then you should be sure.x

I just got a promotion to second lead at my volunteer job with the rescue cats. This started out being a volunteer job for monkey boy but it has turned out being so much more for both of us.  :cheer:

Thank you. That's what I thought too. We were only with them a month before they offered us a second store and after a month there and me jumping in to cover off things that needed to be done that my boss couldn't get to, it's become so much more. I am beyond thrilled. Close to tears I'm so happy and excited and proud of myself. Working with cats puts me in my comfort zone, but taking on a more managerial approach as well brings back the side of me that was pre-kids when I worked in Human Resources. I'm good at paperwork and organizing people and this kind of environment is perfect for me. The added bonus is that monkeyboy is getting so many good life skills and giving back to the community is an important part of growing up. This gives me some purpose right now which will be very beneficial while the rest of my life is shifting.

I'm glad your self esteem gets a boost from this, you really have no idea how much it will help in the future. Truly.x
