Yesterday: One of my students came back to music lessons after the Christmas break, and while I was speaking with his mother, he walked into the lesson room and started playing his recorder. His mother's comment: "Do you think he wanted to come back to music?"
Made even better by the fact that he's autistic and I know he has trouble transitioning back into things after a long break, so coming back enthusiastically after 4 weeks means he really enjoys the lessons.
You must give really good lessons.
Something good was my parents coming home from their holiday. They went on a cruise to Vanuatu. They experienced cyclones and an earthquake. My mum also got heat stroke on one of the days. I don't think they will go on a cruise again. They got me a t-shirt and a small bag with cats on it.
I am relieved that I don't have to look after the house now. I didn't break anything and nothing went wrong.
