Was playing with my neighbour cat (the one who looks like a younger slimmer Flo) when some other neighbours came home and they brought out their little cat they're trying to get used to outside. She was a calico too

lol yeah I saw loads of cats today. One was hiding in long grass and watching me as I went past - was funny

I finally got some sleep. I came home last night and went straight to bed after my shower because I was tired and almost fell asleep at the bus stop. So today I slept in and got up at 10:30 despite being up in bed for a few hours being unable to sleep until I put something in my stomach.

I saw three foxes last night while walking my dog.  One of them was a particularly curious and brave one that I see quite regularly, and we often stop and watch each other for a while when we meet.  It'll come within a few metres of us and sit or lie down, and I'm teaching Waggy to reciprocate, and not to lunge after it and try to tear it to pieces.

lol we had to teach Lily (my dog) not to lunge at the cat . She only wants to play but my cat doesn't

Foxes are cool but I don't see any round here much. I don't usually go out at night though

I go out at night more than during the day, and I see a lot of foxes.  I also have mice in the garden, and there are deer and rabbits at the parks nearby.

My friend's son was bitten in his yard by a fox that attacked him in the daytime. He shot it in self-defense
and got a series of rabies shots. As expected, upon necropsy the fox did indeed turn out to have been rabid.

Where I live it's mostly just squirrels. There are foxes but you don't see them much.

When my sister was about 7 she was bitten by a neighbor's dog that she was playing with.  The neighbors had the dog put to sleep that afternoon.  For whatever reason the dog was not tested for rabies before it was put down.  So my sister had to have the rabies shots in her stomach.  After about 4 or 5 of them she developed an allergic reaction and my parents had to make the decision of whether to continue with the shots.  They probably figured that a neighborhood dog kept behind a fence had a small chance of having rabies, so they stopped the injections.  Thankfully they made the right decision.

I'm glad that turned out OK! My friend's son said the rabies shots were not that bad. I believe they were given in his arm.
