The good that happened today was my cup of tea, and I will be getting myself another one. The day has only just begun.

Most of the time with milk and sugar, if I've run out of milk, I'm having it with honey.

I got everything hooked up, including wireless Internet, without a temper tantrum, curse word or, "Leave me alone!", in less than 90 minutes. Not bad fot a 60 year-old broad. I remember my first computer requiring disk after disk and one shutdown after another to load all the programs. Back in the early 1960's my husband went to IBM computer school. They would run programs by physically changing programmed computer boards into and out of the computer. Or if they needed a new program they would physically put wires into the holes in boards to make the program. They only used Machine language. Things are definitely faster and better now.

English sailors used to include limes in their food supplies on the ships, to guard against scurvy!

I still have the Timex Sinclair that my husband gave me back in the early 80's. It has all the computing power of a digital watch I'm sure. Some very cool computers back then. They've evolved fast, though. The first one I used, a Commodore Pet in the late 70s, already had a built-in Basic interpreter.

I love little bits of information, especially if they involve disease in some way!
