I think it's funny too.  I wondered what the singer Rick Astley thought about his video being used like that, so I Googled.  He said, “Listen, I just think it’s bizarre and funny. My main consideration is that my daughter doesn’t get embarrassed about it.”

Ahh. It was taken even a step further than that. The internet basically forced mtv to give rick astley an mtv music award.

Despite all the punky crap, Rick may indeed be a real man.


(at Thanksgiving, when we did our quarterly meeting with the entire staff of over one hundred twenty this year, one of the things on the corporate video was a lead up, attentiongetter, followed by a RickRoll!   :D      I think everyone but I, laughed.)

What made it funny is that it was so relentless. It was absolutely done to death until it was actually not funny, then people still kept doing it until it was somehow once again funny.

Escaped a really mind racking slide in frozen-icy traffic, unscathed.

I went sideways corrected, lost it, corrected, came within inches of (can't remember how many) several oncoming cars, made it past, ended up in the ditch, but managed to power out.
