last summer, i bought a miniature lemon, a miniature orange and a fig tree from an online garden place thingy. they arrived, and were doing mighty fine, until about six weeks ago, when all three started to die, even though i did everything i was supposed to do - bring them in for the winter, etc., etc.
i was so pissed off. usually, being terribly british, i don't complain, but this time i did: i sent them an email and said how disappointed i was.
no reply for days, so i assumed that was that.
then, today, i received an email saying they were sorry my trees had died, and are sending replacements for all of them!
result! what great service - i thought they might offer me a gift voucher or something, for a few squids, but they're sending me twenty squids worth of tackle. marvellous.
