I got a photo of my brother grinning while he switched the tv off during the football today (a city game, not united) and posted it on my mum's facebook where my stepdad will see it (he's a city fan)

that might not sound good, but it is :P

I just got a promotion to second lead at my volunteer job with the rescue cats. This started out being a volunteer job for monkey boy but it has turned out being so much more for both of us.  :cheer:

Congratulations. And don't let the word 'volunteer' hold you back. All of this experience is good.x

:agreed:  How do you feel about the "second lead" part? Do you do supervision of others?

An OCD-triggering event at work didn't bother me that much this time, I just dealt with it and carried on, the meds helped.  8)

Thanks, wish I could say I was BRAVE, but the meds, in my case,  greatly reduce the anxiety. I'm very grateful.  :)

Whatever works, right? I think it matters less how you did it than the fact that you did. Beating OCD is a constant struggle.

Yeah, though I have to say, for me it has been consistently much easier since I started the meds. Again, very grateful.  :)

Very excited about it. Organizing people and organizing paperwork are two of my strengths so it feels good to put that to good use. Right now I'm just filling in for the things my boss can't get to (she's managing several stores at one) like keeping an eye on the proper filings for the cats, the volunteer log book to see who's having issues, but I eventually want to be the person who trains others for that store. And after the ex moves out I'm looking at becoming a foster mum to some of the rescues. That's why monkeyboy asked for this birthday (in november) in place of a large party and it's something I would love to do. So we'll see.

Training people makes me nervous, it's good that you can do it well. And you must be proud of your son, for his birthday wish.  :viking:
