One of the regular customers at the diner where the Princess Royal and I (too) often eat gave tins of cookies to everyone there.

I wouldn't mind a bottle of Sam Adams now.

Got an OK to attend a conference next year.

A Christmas present I ordered on-line was delayed because of manufacturing delays.  I received word last night about 8:40 that they had the item in stock and were shipping all orders of this Overnight Air Delivery at no charge to the customer because they knew the item was probably a Christmas present.  It arrived at my door by 9:20 this morning.  Thanks Warner Brothers.

I took both kids out for Christmas shopping for their mom.

They both went "as far as they could have,"  so to speak - all the people and activity, etc.

Right now, they are both crashed out in front of the television, bellies full, "Golden Compass" blasting at high volume.

Overall, it was a good trip.

Update

I was curious on how much it cost Warner Brothers to ship this thing overnight.  I paid $33.20 for the wand and it cost WB about $51 to ship it Overnight Air Delivery via UPS according to the calculation on the UPS site.

I treated myself to a banana smoothie while at the shops today. It was so much cooler in there than it was outside.

It's so hard to find smoothies without bananas, which I don't care for.
